Two years after the devastating fires swept through Lāhainā, the keiki of Hawai’i Technology Academy continue to show us what true resilience looks like. Their journey from tragedy to triumph deserves celebrating, especially this past February at their temporary home here at Kapalua.
A Community Steps Up
Within weeks of those fires, Hawai’i Technology Academy started with pop-up tents and a single classroom before Kapalua Golf & Tennis provided a beautiful campus where healing and learning could happen side by side. More than 100 students found their footing again in this peaceful setting.
This Week: A Celebration
This week brought graduation day for HTA Lāhainā’s fifth and eighth graders.
These graduates carry with them proof that with community support and determination, any challenge can be overcome. The partnership between Kapalua and HTA Lāhainā shows what’s possible when we invest in our keiki’s future.
