Tell us about yourself?
My name is Evan Dahl and I am an assistant pro at the Bay Course here at Kapalua. I’ve been working at Kapalua since October of 2022. I previously managed a state-of-the-art car wash in Redding, CA before I moved to Maui in 2021.
What do you like to do on your days off?
On my days off, I like to go diving. If I’m not doing that, then you’ll usually find me at the golf course practicing or playing.
What has golf taught you?
Golf has taught me that I worry too much about what others think. As long as you find joy in something you’re doing, you shouldn’t worry about anyone else.
If you had to give a recommendation to someone who is planning to play here at Kapalua, what would you say?
I would highly recommend folks play the Plantation Course because of its stature. Absolutely stunning views with an excellent restaurant and locker room. It’s a special place.
What do you like most about your job?
The people I work with are amazing. I love the low-stress environment and, of course, the added perks. I cannot think of a better place to be than right here, right now.
