Can you share a bit about your background?

 My name is Hailey and I am the administrative assistant for our director of building and facility maintenance. I spent my early childhood in Kauai, then moved to Irvine, California, when I was 8 and lived there until I graduated high school. I went to the University of Oregon for my undergraduate and just graduated last June! I have worked here at Kapalua seasonally since 2021 but have been working full-time for the past year during my gap year.

How did you get into Golf?

 I have been exposed to golf at a very early age since my dad, grandpa, 3 uncles, and 1 aunty are all golf professionals. I was involved in junior golf at a young age and have had many golf lessons over the years from my dad. I am a causal golf player and mostly enjoy spending time with coworkers.

What is the best (and worst) part of your game?

 The best part of my game would be my driver but my short game is definitely needing some help.

What is the most memorable experience you’ve had playing golf?

The most memorable experience I’ve had while playing golf is on the Plantation Course on Hole #9 I holed a shot from 145 yards uphill, in the wind for 3 on a par 5.

When you’re not working, what do you enjoy doing? When I am not working I enjoy going to the beach, baking, and dancing hula.

What do you love most about living on Maui?

What I love most about living on Mau’i is the people and the culture. I am proud to say I am from a place that has such a tight knit community that treats everyone like family. Even though the views and sights of Mau’i are breathtaking, my coworkers are the reason why I love calling Mau’i home.

Can you share one cool fact about yourself that would surprise people?

 I lived in London for 3 months during my study abroad in college!
